Cop Nabbed Over Alleged Involvement In Drug Ring
Police nabbed one of their own on suspicion of being a drug pusher during an operation held in Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Negeri Sembilan – between Wednesday and yesterday.
The policeman is believed to be a middleman in a drug syndicate, involving seven men and a woman – aged between 32 and 59 years old, who were also taken into custody during the swoop.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Investigation Department director, Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh said authorities also seized drugs amounting to RM 721,000 including syabu, ketamin and Erimin.
He added the drugs could be supplied to more than 50,000 drug users.
RM 2.1 million in cash, eight cars, five luxury watches and jewellery, as well as 50 bullets were also seized in the operation.
All the suspects were remanded to facilitate investigations under the Dangerous Drugs Act.
