Updates on the high tide phenomenon which caused flash floods in several states in the country –
Although the flood waters have started to recede on Wednesday, the people have been urged to brace themselves as the second wave of the phenomenon is expected to hit next month.
Meanwhile, all flood relief centres in Selangor have been closed as the 221 victims from 52 families are allowed to return to their respective homes, after taking shelter in the centres since last Sunday.
However, in Perak, 90 people from 21 families are still placed at two centres in the Hilir Perak and Manjung districts.
In Kedah, some 934 evacuees are still housed in six relief centres in the Kuala Muda district.
