Some 205 small and medium enterprises, SMEs will be showcasing their products and services in the 13th China-Asean Expo, CAEXPO which will kick off on September 11th.
Of the total, 53 percent of the participating companies comprised of new companies, given the strong purchasing power of Chinese consumers last year despite the economic slowdown.
Participating companies are mainly from the food and beverages, lifestyle, pharmaceutical and services sectors.
The theme for this year’s CAEXPO is “Co-building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Jointly Forging a Closer China-Asean Community of Shared Destiny”.
Matrade projects sales of RM 250 million this year, after achieving close to RM 215 million last year.
