The Prime Minister said motorcyclists plying both the Penang Bridge and Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge will be exempted from paying toll.
This was promised by Datuk Seri Najib, along with the 65,000 affordable housing units stated in the party’s manifesto, unveiled recently if the BN recaptures the state, in the upcoming 14th general election.
Motorcyclists currently pay RM1.60 to use the Penang Bridge; and RM1.70, to use the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge.
Datuk Seri Najib also stressed that the BN had never abandoned the state, even though it is under DAP.
The Prime Minister on Thursday, also launched 12 Health Ministry projects in the state, valued at RM1.64 billion which included the construction of the specialist clinic block, the maternity ward, as well as the women’s block and the children’s block of the Penang General Hospital.
In the last five years, the federal government has spent about RM4 billion for various development projects in the state.

If we win Pulau Pinang, we will abolish the toll imposed on motorcyclists. I will include this additional promise in the BN Manifesto.)
