The state assemblies of Pulau Pinang and Selangor, the two states under the opposition control, are expected to be dissolved on Monday.
Pulau Pinang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today said he will seek an audience with the Governor, Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas, on Monday morning.
After the meeting, Lim would then advise the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly on the date for the dissolution.
When asked, he said the state assembly will definitely be dissolved by next week.
Meanwhile, the dissolution ceremony for the Selangor State Assembly will be held at the Istana Alam Shah in Klang on Monday morning.
Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali will have an audience with Selangor Ruler, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to seek his consent first on that day before the dissolution ceremony begins.
