RoS Approves New Party In Principle
The Registrar of Societies, RoS has approved in principle, the application to set up Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, but with the acronym PPBM, and not Bersatu.
Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi today said, the RoS would give full approval, after PPBM clarified the role and functions of its president and chairman.
Datuk Seri Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, added that the applicant gave the acronym PPBM, after a check by RoS showed, that Bersatu was being used by six other parties and organisations.
He added, the RoS had also requested for a slight alteration, to the party logo.
He also stressed, that there was no interference in the application process, stating that approval would be given to any party or organisation, if the conditions in the Societies Act 1966, were adhered to.
